RADIATE LOVE ❤️
Isn’t it such a beautiful thing to be inspired, to bump into inspiration synchronistically… isn’t it really? i ask you. An inspiration that makes you tremble with excitement and off you run in every each way creating your own version of that very inspiration.
And so it was, one of those glorious moments happened to float down, feather like, from the heavens and take up residence upon my lap from where i delicately lifted it, dusted it down, and placed it gently into my breast pocket to allow it some time to ferment in my mind.
For this magical moment i am eternally grateful to Phaguni Shivastava and her exquisite essay: – ‘You Don’t Have to Be Good at Something to Enjoy It.‘ It seemed to be speaking directly to my very history.
i would like to pursue this essay from the perspective of the modern materialist paradigm which defines success by a framework dominated by measurable economic metrics, social status acquisition, and competitive dominance. Under this system, success is quantified by financial accumulation—wealth, property ownership, or corporate hierarchical ascension—as the sole valid indicators of progress etc., etc.
Over the years you see, i have very much enjoyed my creative endeavours but i have never been remarkable at any of them. My life has been a grand failure if we adhere to the stated definition of ‘success’ as above.
Here are a brief few examples of the endeavours that i have enjoyed enormously:
i enormously enjoyed knitting, the colour, the creating, the joy of achievement at the completion of a garment or tapestry.
but alas, i wasn’t remarkable at it.
i enormously enjoyed dry stone wall building, the serendipity of choosing the correct piece of stone from the pile, the artistry of it all.
but alas, i wasn’t remarkable at it.
i enormously enjoyed acting, the sheer fun of it, the stage, the stepping into the boots of a character and truly living that role.
but alas, i wasn’t remarkable at it.
i enormously enjoyed teaching, the bestowing upon my path a blissful blessing of contact, a crossing with a vast, vast number of diverse individuals of every age and station.
but alas, i wasn’t remarkable at it.

I have never attained “success” as by the system’s quantifiable metrics. In truth, material acquisition, competitive striving, and social validation—have always eluded me. Yet, paradoxically, I find myself in a state of profound internal harmony: joyous exuberance coexists with serene tranquility; curiosity fuels my spirit while peace anchors it; love—both given and received—dances in perfect rhythm within every cell of my being.
Thus, the question naturally arises: Which path is more nourishing to one’s health and well-being—the system’s hollow pursuit of external trophies or this organic symphony of vitality, where success is not measured by bank accounts or corporate ladders but by the richness of one’s soul?
True success is found in the living essence of your being—your health, your freedom, your relationships, and your connection to something greater than yourself.
And just to emphasise the point, i have had zero income this past year and i have no savings.
One could say perhaps that i have been a right silly-billy with this approach and maybe/of course i should have made some provisions…

Forget square footage, fancy titles, or follower count.
The only real measure of success is how much joy, love, and peace is flowing through you right now.
That’s the currency the universe runs on. Everything else is just spare change.
